Friend on the team said Combs didn't like our 3 hour practices and that he was probably a FP, TC, etc. fwiw

Why would he have visited us the day before the UT game? Or does 11/30 imply that he was here for that game as well the next day?

'Grats, Beems.  I predict an increase in antacid sales for EMAWers over the next 9 months, at least.

'grats at Combs.  He has talent but when you watch his video on MJM's highlights or even some of his own you see a lazy dude who stands straight up.  I guess he was at Fort Scott before Pierce and didn't make the out-of-state roster so he checked out.

meh, we have 3 nose tackles as is...would have been nice to have him but it will be amusing watching Whitehair-Finney-Stiverson beat on him the next few years.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Is he from Kansas originally? Seems like a JuCo with that offer list would have to be a crazy person to sign with KU. No offense intended, Beems.

[quoteWeis’ incursion into the juco market has led to several head-to-head battles with K-State. Kid may think getting a letter from a school is an offer. I have had my doubt about his 50 school list for quite some time. Even if he did come to the cats.

I was openly hoping we didn't sign Sendish.  He was begging for KSU to recruit him more a while back.  Willis, Jones, and either of the HS corners (Morrow and Chandler) would be far better gets than Sendish.

Anything short of a holiday bowl is clearly a failure, IMO.  Chaz Weis has raised the stakes, pushed the envelope.

Holiday bowl? Anything short of an outright Big XII title will be considered the biggest choke job by any organization that ever existed.

OU is losing one of it's best QB's ever, so is KSU, so is WV.  KSU is also losing the Big 12 Defensive player of the year.  Seems like the entire conference is taking a step back but KU is taking a HUGE step forward.  dreamteam2013, Heaps, Weiss getting his system in for the schematic advantage, possibly a few hundred extra fans showing up and a noncon slate that would make Snyder blush.  Certainly a run to the top of the division is probable.
