6-36 in conference play over the last 5 seasons.

22 consecutive conference game losses.

4 consecutive last place finishes.

Sorry. TSC Love and all that.   But it has to be said; either the worst, or second worst five year run since the inception of the Big 12 conference.

ku football . . . the WORST in the Big 12.

Sorry, again.

Agreed . . . the fantastic ego of Lew Perkins has cost that program dearly.

Meanwhile over in Manhattan they're putting (another) conference championship trophy in the trophy case, and putting steel in the sky on $100 million dollars in stadium improvements.   While Cheyenne Zulu hopes to cobble together enough government largesse, endowment cash and other benevolence in order to get in position to keep their stadium from crumbling to the ground.

Cheyenne is probably out there tonight with a flashight, a cement trowel, and a bucket of patching cement just trying to hold that sum bitch together.

Gill. Just because he followed a successful MM, and Weis did make the Chiefs better(OC), has a better track record, and will probably win some in the future. Weis doesnt seem in over his head like Gill did.

Serious ?:

How far is the gap right now between us and them?  Is it greater, less than, or equal to, say, 2002?

I'd say greater given the facilities investments we've made and can probably end up paying for.

I have interest in how they're doing, long-term, as it relates to the future health of our program.

I'd love for there to be a clear divide in the hearts and minds of this state in terms of which one is the "football school". I realize that their t-shirt fans will be there for football, but what I want is a situation like Pennsylvania where Pitt is the clear basketball school, and Penn State is the football school.  We can't be splitting football fans and in-state players with them. We have enough of both going south of the border.

I'm not sure if it's even possible for 9 Big 12 teams to become bowl eligible without KU losing all of their Big 12 games. I'm not sure if they were good or bad for the conference this year.

Of course it's possible.  Theoretically, every team in the Big 12 could be bowl eligible if the home team won every game since everybody plays at least six home games.

KU going 0-9 in conference helps, though.  6-6 Flood Aggie doesn't make a bowl without their sixth win in Lawrence.

Well, yeah, it's mathematically possible, but it would require KU losing to some of the worse teams and beating some of the better ones. That just seems very unlikely.

This part seems pretty likely.  :dunno:
