For those who thought this team was better than the 98 team..Sorry..the 98 team never got their ass handed to them like that
.

The Purdue game was similar, there just wasn't a NC game on the line to make Bill panic. I'm also not sure if '98 KSU is better than '12 KU. The game has done a whole lot of advancing over the last 14 years.
Purdue game was just weird to begin with and then you add in the fact that Brees was the best offense player in the game and Rosevelt Colvin may have been the best defensive....

yeah I don't think anyone on Baylor is going to turn out to be an NFL MVP caliber player (possibly HOF).

KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue

Well, I don't remember Purdue being the #1 offense in college football, either. That seems more important than having 1 or 2 good players on a team.

I think it had everything to do with with the national championship looming. They read SI. They listened to the radio. Watched TV. The mental mistakes and dumb plays looked like they weren't prepared. They thought that they were above Baylor.

The absolute worst thing that could happen is that they were in the drivers seat to the national championship game.

It sucks because I've saying all year (I think a lot of us have) that Collin and Arthur are too good of leaders to let this team overlook an opponent. Now I look like an idiot.

They probably also didn't expect for Baylor to be as fired up and ready to play as they were.  Fans of teams who have been on top before know what it's like for their team to have a bullseye on it.  Perhaps some of our players didn't understand that entirely.
