But a man who is willing to work hard, repent his sins, and raise himself up out of his situation should be given a chance. No matter how old he is. As a Catholic, it is almost unfathomable that my fellow Catholics would even question our student-athletes like this. The people who would attack us are obviously full of pride and jealousy. I will pray for their souls.

Nah.  It's good.  The idiots will all bite on one thread.  Only the decent posters will look around and "get it." Then they will stick around and have normal discussions.

If Notre Dame provided a quality education, they would be cranking out Rhodes and Truman scholars left and right. That's not the case, though. They are a second-rate school, just like all of those other institutions that we clown suit in that department every single year.

I honestly didn't know Notre Dame football still existed until this season. My Grandpa used to tell me stories of watching football after he got back from WWII, said Notre Dame was the best back then. Apparently they mostly took in (older) vets that needed something to do post-Germany. I was under the assumption they faded out shortly after, once the forward pass was invented. I figured they evolved into another school or were absorbed by another, much like former NCAA basketball champions Texas Western and Oklahoma A&M.

I don't know about you guys but I am glad all the major conferences have kept up their part of agreement to not let these losers into a conference until they can show some substantive proof of having something to offer other than underachieving sports and their proximity to one of the absolute worst smelling cities in the US(Geary, Indiana, may Michael Jackson RIP).

I don't know about that.  Most of the Catholics I know don't condone the Church's decades long practice of sheltering and protecting hundreds of child rapists.

I think the biggest problem that I have with these guys is that this is AMERICA.  Not Ireland.  Irish people can't win an American championship.  Doesn't work that way.  So obviously they're not invited to play for it.

It would be much funnier to throw KSU 2025 and NBAF in their faces.  Take an academic tact gentlemen.  Look down on them for their pud private school that can't even be trusted to receive public funding because its academics are so shady.  When they respond with any fact, remind them that those rankings have to rely upon Notre Dame's own numbers which are obviously fraudulent because they are a private school accountable to no one.

Fraudulent academics is a great angle but the Holy One( Rockne) must be vilified as well
