ESPN is in the entertainment biz.  Any development, no matter the source, is news and news gets reported.  Especially if they can line up an exclusive interview with the news.  If they can't, they'll sit and negotiate until the news breaks, then they will report that there are "reports" out about the news and then will use this leverage to get the news to come in and give their exclusive interview.

It is a never ending clown suit loop.

Te'o is still full of it.  As has been the case all along, he's telling the story he wants us to hear, not what actually happened.

I still think he's gay and that the person he met at Stanford and who later came to Hawaii was his gay lover.  That's why he never introduced the person to his family (mormon) or his friends (catholic).
