What do you think the mood was like in the Notre Dame athletic department offices yesterday morning? Did they know Deadspin would expose it later that day, or did they have no idea? I could see them just having their phony press conference ready to go whenever they finally got outed, but man. Either way, I can't imagine the oh-holy-eff scene in that office once the crap hit the Deadspin fan.
