And what is up with the names of there counties? WOW

Seriously.  Wirt county?  Sounds like one of those Middle English peasant names like Wat or Rolf.

I think a neighboring county for Pleasants should be Rudes.

I wonder if anyone actually lives in Mononononononongolia county.  And if so, is there a Great Wall around it?

You guys are a bunch of idiots on here. What has KSU football ever done? You all have went to 1 BCS bowl right? Couldn't you all come up with something better than to make fun of our city? Morgantown is a great city and you all are just a bunch of classless idiots. That's why Bob Huggins left to get the eff out of Manhattan. You all suck!

And if I was living in Morgantown and an opportunity came up to live and work in Manhattan, Ks., I would get the eff out of Morgantown

WTF is up with the shape of their state? It's like someone dropped a dinner plate and this was the big chunk that didn't shatter. They've got that little sliver of land on top, but managed to squeeze in 4 rough ridin' counties  Plus look at the weird part on the east side! It must have been deemed unsuitable for the high class people in Maryland.

Ohio County
Wyoming County
Hampshire County

All states we'd rather be a county in.

Did you guys know that West Virginia is the only U.S. state shaped like a saxophone?

Found this on Google image search.  I'm not sure what it means, but it appears to be some counties attempting to secede from the state that seceded from the other state that was part of the states that seceded from the US.

Jesus don't these people get along with anyone?

Those counties were not in WV originally, but after the Civil War they decided to join WV to avoid federal occupation. Returning Civil War veterans were not allowed to vote on the matter which was controversial because the counties would have stayed part of Virginia if they had been allowed to vote. The case eventually made it's way to the Supreme Court and the ruling went WV's way since the federal courts weren't exactly sympathetic to the Southern states at that time.

Not that what I said has anything to do with the picture.

So what you pretty much just said was that West Virginia is not a state, but is actually a gloiter on Virginia's neck?

Morgantown is a great city and you all are just a bunch of classless idiots. That's why Bob Huggins left to get the eff out of Manhattan. You all suck!

Tonight's local Manhattan newspaper has an article about Bob Huggins at the Big XII media day yesterday.  Huggins is quoted as saying:

Quote
“I’ve got great memories at K-State,” he said. “The people were absolutely fantastic. It’s a different administration, it’s a different everything. But it’s still the same people. They were absolutely wonderful to myself and my family.”

Huggins said his wife still talks often about Manhattan, and talks with the friends they met there.
He even said he’s sure his wife would go back if she could. But would he?
“I’m not leaving Morgantown, this is it for me,” he said. “I’m moved out, I’m done, done moving.”

Morgantown is home to Bob Huggins, and he left K-State to go home.  We understand that.  But K-State gave him a chance when no one else would. It was a short relationship, but he still has a great opinion of K-State.  His wife, however, is a little more objective, so it looks like she would come back here.   :ksu:
