he's not coming, and if he does come, he'll just be a walkon who can't even play.  now why don't you all shut up about it.

He'll definitely be here, and be on scholarship and eligible to play in a year.  If this was a former #1 basketball player transferring to State, you would have the biggest EMAWgasm ever registered, and you know it.

For some perspective

Derek Dooley worked under oscar Vandevelde (former ISU AD) at Louisiana Tech

oscar Vandevelde royally mumped up everything he touched at Iowa State. (Fired Eustachy, no facility upgrades, cut baseball, didn't fundraise)

Derek Dooley learned the ways of BVDV

He won't last long.

Quote from: EDSBS
YOU'LL GO TO THE BIG APPLE OF THE MIDWEST WHEN WE SAY YOU CAN. Derek Dooley is not letting Bryce Brown transfer to Kansas State, presumably because everyone involved in the conversation here has just decided that inside their brain, deep in the animal limbic system where all crucial snap judgments are made, a bag of dicks resides where common sense should sit.

Always enjoyed EDSBS

God, I miss being good at football.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Dooley is just reassuring Vol fans that he can be just as slimy as Fulmer and Lane.  Not news

SURPRISE!  A police officer beaten half to death?  No biggie!

Derek Dooley reinstates 2 VolunteersEmail Print Comments103 Associated Press

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Volunteers coach Derek Dooley has reinstated two Volunteers players he suspended following a July bar brawl that left an off-duty police officer seriously injured.

Sophomore linebacker Greg King and sophomore defensive tackle Marlon Walls will join their teammates when they begin fall practice Wednesday. The pair has been suspended since the July 9 brawl, though their roles in the incident have never been made clear by police.

Dooley said Tuesday he's comfortable with the punishment Walls and King have served and said the pair have had good attitudes and shown remorse about the incident, which also led to defensive back Darren Myles' dismissal.

Dooley says he doesn't expect to punish anyone else unless police uncover new information in their investigation.

Didn't someone punch or kick that officer while he was already on the ground?  Seems like that would carry some sort of lengthy jailtime...

*edit-  Found some stuff about it-

Quote
According to witnesses, the officer was hit in the head and knocked to the ground. Once on the ground the suspect kicked the officer several times before fleeing the scene.

Quote
Two Tennessee players were charged during an early morning bar brawl that left an off-duty police officer who tried to break up the fight knocked unconscious, and more could be facing charges, police said Friday.

Wow, it looks like this Dooley fellow has taken notes from Tom Osbourne. Expect them to win the SEC within the next 3 years. It must be great to be a Volunteer fan right now.
