Harper made an attempt to wiggle into the end zone for the score, but was ruled down by replay at the 1.

I can't wait until Kellis gives his take on the 5 key plays of the game. It should be up in just a few hours.

Thanks _FAN, I know that your analysis goes a long way in preventing less intelligent posters/sportwriters from forcing their views on us. You make this BBS and the Universe a more beautiful place.

Q: If you were to point to one thing about KSU's offense that makes it unique, what would it be? Klein, our usage of the fullback, blocking schemes such as the one shown on the speed option, etc.?

I'd say the combination of power and option and the variety of personnel/formations is what makes K-State most unique.

I really enjoy these.  I don't really understand all the x's and o's but for the 10 minutes that I read _FAN's analysis I feel like I can scheme with the best of them.

It's going to suck next year when this ends because Sams can't be caught in freeze frames ;)

_FAN,

do you feel that it is possible to make meaningful conclusions about the performance of the 'Cats based on their interaction w/ an abysmally inept football club like the Sporting Lawrence Jayhawks? Couldn't the outcomes of those plays simply be caused by the randomness of the universe?

I just watched the game replay on fsn no huddle and I watched a bunch of plays in slow motion so I could pretend I was _fan, it was great.

Is there any reason for me to be nervous about our fb, te, or pulling lineman being able to handle the isu linebackers? For some reason I'm all  :ohno:

It may be naive of me, but I think that's mostly due to how well the Offensive Line is playing.

 at the safety on play number 5 trying to bump Baby Lockett 15 yards down the field. Watching live, I was trying to figure out what made Klein double clutch, and it appears that's why.

This is a big part of it, but the trust of Snyder in Klein and Klein's ability to make checks at the line of scrimmage is a big part of it too. We've had discussions in the past about how many times checks were made and how many were "fake" audibles, etc. I think this year most of the time those are Klein actually changing plays and he has nearly complete trust to do so. Probably the only other QB with as much freedom in Snyder's system that I can remember was Beasley.

The BITB.  Not as a joke, not as a cute moniker.  But goEMAW is literally the best place for serious discussion and analysis of Kanass State.  There is no peer, there is no competition.
