Quote from: hs classmate

Never give up hope, no matter what the situation is like. That is the lesson to be learned from "The Amazing Spiderman 2" to me. Everything we experience or witness in life is ment to teach us something, and it is up to us to learn what that is, so that we may better prepare ourselves for what is to come or so that mistakes of the past aren't made again.

yard dog!!!!!!!!

I mean, if he wants to take life lessons from that go for it.  I yearn for the days where it was a book title in those quotations.

It is scholarly to discuss a book and the message as it applies to life.  There are some great books to get lost in that can direct a persons life in a positive direction.  Unfortunately with the state of our visual media first society young people are trying to fulfill that need with cookie cutter blockbusters. Sad, really.

Almost googled bookworm and porn for clarification on my work computer.  Might have been embarrassing.

I don't want to demean the value of comic books, but there is something altogether more alluring about written word that calls on the reader to imagine the setting and characters.

I know that when I want a good Spiderman story, I always go for a bound book with no pictures rather than the comic book for kids.

A childhood friend just posted on facebook for the first time in months and said "well, it look a while but I think my profile is finally profession appropriate."

I decided to click to see what type of employment this kid could have possibly obtained (he's a redneck weirdo) and noticed his 2nd profile picture is him, blacked out drunk, sharpie on his face, and throwing the bird.

Now, I can't decide if he's just clueless about facebook or if the joke is one me for not knowing that his professional ceiling is, at most, a truck driver or something...

FYI, he's from Abilene (where I was born)...not my wonderful hometown of Wamego.
Please don't ban me, Mr. Dave.

You know what's on my mind Facebook... is it me or is Salina Kansas the biggest rough ridin' ass backwards shithole on the face of the planet? Not only is the money mismanaged in this town, you've got the city police and judges who don't even know what the law is.... news flash Salina, how about instead of spending money on this statue bullshit on Sante fe that youre covering up and no one wants, why don't you spend some of that money and fix the damn sidewalks and streets.... I can't even ride a bike onthe sidewalk with out bumping up and down.... also hire some better teachers for your mumped up school system and get a better police force..... one that doesn't cover every body's ass only when we need to.....also get a better grocery store system on the north end of town....I have to ride the podunk ass bus which takes an hour to get any where you need to go, also it only goes where it wants to and takes two hours to get back home.... hell I d be faster than the rough ridin' bus system on foot.... back to the grocery store situation.... is it me or are you getting tired of having to go clear acrss rough ridin' town to dumbfuck Dillons where the cashiers can't count back change and the stockers don't know what they carry.... not only is Dillons expensive as eff, its the worst place to get customer service at.... you know what they need to put around the city limits?a sign that says welcome to Salina , the biggest shithole on the face of the planet
