Although I could care less about looking it up, because we're number 1, my guess would be that they are successful in bowls because they are set up to play puds in bowl games on many occasions.  Always seem to be playing some shitty Michigan team or a piece of crap ACC or Big East team. He'll with them. It's somebody else's turn to win, mainly us.
