Serious question: why?  What do you think Obama is going to do that makes the country better off? The only thing I can think of is Obamacare stays, we raise taxes on the rich, cause eff'em, but we spend more money so we still go deeper on the red (as would have happened with Romney as well).  I'm having a hard time coming up with how this is better for the country as a whole. I would have had an equally hard time with Romney. Some who pays attention to this more than I do please explain it. I can see how either candidate is better for individual demographics, but not the country as a whole. The only difference is who gets mumped in the short term while everyone is mumped in the long term.

that's not really a question is it?

I'm just perplexed by it all.  I'm not entirely sure what values/policies/achievements of the president make him so appealing.

he's not romney.  romney conducted the most insulting campaign possible, refusing to outline his plans, blatantly twisting the truth, etc.  he conducted his campaign with utter contempt for the intelligence of the electorate.  the saying is that you can never underestimate the intelligence of the american people.  romney proved that wrong, if not by a great deal.

Personally i care more about keeping the country out of the dark ages more than some debt issue that neither will help.

he is a wedding photographer who lives in oklahoma, in other words he is poor/stupid and should be a democrat.  it is in his best interest, and i don't blame him for being one.

I have no idea why someone would want someone to be president again. Maybe I just get bored easily.

After 4 years of saying one thing and then doing the exact opposite on a multitude of issues . . . it's quite funny that anyone would try to deny that Barry isn't just as contempt-able as Romney.

One thing for sure . . . Forward to (more) Perpetual War.

Yeah it is. Outside of Obamacare stays, what would have changed with Romney for the country as a whole. Both were planning on spending a shitload, only in different places. There aren't any major social issues such as gay marriage that will be decided at the national level. Beside the tax level for the rich and Obamacare, what moves the needle?  One winning over the other doesn't change the number of bigots out there.

The president sets the tone for agencies.  During bush the fcc cracked down super hard on radio and tv.   Mitt expressed many times that he would lead a war on obscenity and porn.  That crap effects more people than any debt issue does.

He's right though, I think fox was the first to call it.

I don't know if Fox was the first to officially call it, but they were the first to show it through body language and tone. They may not have said the words, but they were he first to show they knew the outcome.

Oh yeah, I am old enough to remember the big crackdown on porn in the 80's and all the little libs running around with their No Censorship shirts on . . . then they looked back and realized it was actually the golden age of Porn.

Just like all the talk about budget cuts etc. etc. if a Republican gets elected, when in reality no real budget cuts ever happen, and it's only a slightly different variation of business as usual.
