Gore didn't win Tenn.

did he win his vp's state?  (completely forgot who his vp candidate was, and i voted for them)

last time a ticket lost the home states of both their pres/vp candidates was McGovern/Shriver in '72.

 :horrorsurprise:
pretty embarassing for republicans

Romney won Utah, which was one of his home states.

low election iq here, but how often does a guy win the home states of his competitors?

The problem with being a phony and having four home states is that you don't really connect anywhere.  Also worth noting that while he always touts his time as governor, he was very unpopular in Massachusetts and would have lost if he attempted reelection.  His lieutenant governor lost the election by 20 percent.

I liked it when a pundit expressing surprise that Romney did so poorly in New Hampshire considering he has a summer home there.

Yeah so the answer is that there isn't a war in Iraq.  Thanks, move on.

Oh yeah, no war in Iraq:

We have army bases in Europe, but I wouldn't say we are at war over there.

Romney should have bought a beach house in Florida. That would have been the better tax write off.

Well, Nate Silver is certainly getting his dick sucked by twitter at a record setting level.

good for him.  but i feel a little bad for the other modelers, who did as well or better, but don't have a times website, and don't blog everyday.

4 more years, 4 more years   :emawkid:

victory:  america

Serious question: why?  What do you think Obama is going to do that makes the country better off? The only thing I can think of is Obamacare stays, we raise taxes on the rich, cause eff'em, but we spend more money so we still go deeper on the red (as would have happened with Romney as well).  I'm having a hard time coming up with how this is better for the country as a whole. I would have had an equally hard time with Romney. Some who pays attention to this more than I do please explain it. I can see how either candidate is better for individual demographics, but not the country as a whole. The only difference is who gets mumped in the short term while everyone is mumped in the long term.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls
