Plasma sucks ass w/ a ton of natural light, don't do it

lcd/leds are good enough now to make plasma obsolete.

plasma also takes alot more energy and generates alot of heat, if you care about that crap.

Saw that, I don't think I want any of that stuff for $400.

you are stupid.

plasma > any other tech.

also, panasonic plasma's anti-glare is great.

summary:  don't be stupid.  lcd/led can't touch plasma. learn and live.  live and learn.

I just got a panasonic plasma with anti-glare. It was brighter or as bright as the LEDs I saw.  I like it a lot.

Plasma is a dead technology, imo. But if you can find one considerably cheaper, get it as the picture is great.  Would go with an LED if it was me tho.

Did you reset the timer on the replaced bulb?

I have a Samsung 50 inch DLP . . . now with the dreaded processor problems.     Love the DLP picture, more cinema like, not as harsh as LCD.    Only one company I can see even still makes DLP.  Mitsubishi.

I have a 46" Toshiba DLP in my basement that works perfectly fine with a Toshiba stand if someone in the Omaha area wants to buy it for like $200.  You have to come get it yourself.

My dad has a 52" JVC rear-projection. Love the loudness of the unit, love the 720p picture, love the three-minute startup time, love the 6800 lb weight of the tv itself. Just a great TV.

Did you reset the timer on the replaced bulb?

This sounds promising.  All I did was take the old one out and jam the new one in.  The new one came in its own housing or case or whatever so I didn't mess with the bulb per se at all.  How do I reset the timer?

Stopped by Best Buy at lunch, the much-discussed non-3D Sony looked like absolute crap there, so much that I don't think the display one could possibly be working right.  I'll hit the other one tomorrow to confirm.

Will try.

So, is the message popping up because the counter got to a really big number?  I thought it's popping up because it's somehow knowing that particular lamp is almost mumped.  Like, the message popped up and within a week, lamp was dead.  I didn't think those things could have that precise of a lifespan.
