Hey guys, Jakesie here, let's talk importance of maintaining #1 through the rest of the regular season. We shouldn't care, but we probably care. It's fun to be #1. Anyways, with that in mind, I noticed that we were #2 in the computers, and Oregon was #4. As long as we stay in front of them, should we be able to maintain the #1 spot (assuming human polls stay the same)?

Only being a fan since 2008 I can't even begin to imagine how MUCH older fans of K-State are feeling after tonight.

I'm not really old, but one of my earliest memories of K-State football is listening to the infamous 17-17 tie with KU almost 25 years ago to the day (Nov 7th, 1987).

Now no team in college football is higher than the Cats and we're 8 quarters away from playing for the national title.

Its pretty great.

My dad installed a NASA-sized satellite just so we could watch that game.

Also, I am YouTube hunting for that for the rest of the evening.
