i'm split on whether counting down the clock is okay or not. it is possible that it somewhat helps. it's the screaming "hurry" and crap like that that pisses me off.

Yeah our stupid fans need to quit counting down the clock.

Had this happen numerous times while watching games with people on TV this year.  I just turn and give them the  :dubious: for about 30 seconds

Another way to look at pace: Plays per minute of possession:

Name
Baylor   3.2
Oklahoma State   2.9
West Virginia   2.7
Iowa State   2.6
Oklahoma   2.5
Texas Tech   2.5
Kansas   2.3
Texas   2.2
TCU   2.2
Kansas State   2.0

After our defensive 2nd half last night, I think the Baylor game may concern me most right now. Even with our TOP advantage, our defense seemed to be getting worn down and was giving up big chunks of yardage. Hopefully some of that was, as I suspect, due a bit to being flustered over Klein's injury and the new OSU QB.

Also, the offense stalled on a couple of drives giving the defense less rest than Klein typically gives them.

I will admit I enjoy watching the clock run down when I'm at the stadium knowing that the snap is coming, but shouting it is rough ridin' pointless.

tuckish? so be it. i guarantee you there has been at least one time where counting it down made our qb more aware of it than if it had been silent.

Not at all concerned about Baylor, even after OSU.

Baylor is not nearly as physical as OSU, their defense is awful, and their home field advantage is non-existent.

Concern Level:
TCU
Texas

Baylor

I was in Waco for the game in '10.  That was probably their biggest game in forever (a win made them bowl eligible).

You could hear a pin drop when we were on offense.  A bunch of losery fans sitting in a losery stadium watching a losery football program.  We're going to beat them by 30+.

I agree, and if Klein ends up not playing, I'd put that game just under OU.

Yeah, that's a good point. I go back and forth on them. I can see them being right in the Tech/OSU/UT group, but then I can see them sliding down to the top of the next tier. They seem more like an ISU type; good defense, young quarterback, ball control. And I'm not sold they are a lot better than ISU. UT would've been down in that group too, but their talent and their performance against Tech kind of got my attention.

Oklahoma

Oklahoma State
Texas Tech
TCU
Texas

Iowa State
WVU
Baylor
Miami

Kansas
North Texas
Missouri State

i just think playing on the road is kind of tough. like, i don't think tcu is probably as good as tech but i think playing tcu in ft worth is prob about as hard as playing tech in mhk. idk, i might put too much emphasis on home/away.
