Oregon State plays Stanford before Oregon can play either of them. Either way that game is a win/win

If OSU gets the L, then they'll drop almost out of the top 25, and then drop all the way after they lose to Oregon

If Stanford gets the L, it will make Stanford a 4 loss team after they lose to Oregon. Not only does it hurt Oregon, but Notre Dame as well.

Although I have no idea what the computers are going to say, I think it's pretty safe to say that ND will easily jump Oregon this week in the BCS (i predict they will be 3rd by a decent margin over Oregon).  If we stay the same in the computer polls (again, even though we played a damn good Tech team, who knows), it is numerically impossible for ND to pass us this week in the BCS.   I can't envision a scenario (other than us losing obviously) where either ND or Oregon will jump us by years end.

Oregon does play 4 more ranked teams though (assuming whoever they play in the champy game is ranked)

This thread is the best. I've been away from bbs since Friday morning. This has all of the collective butthurt, meltdown and optimism that I've been looking for.

The butthurt and meltdowns were premature...the Harris and Coaches poll have all but eliminated us being left out of the NC game.  The only way ND had a chance was to jump us in the human polls and the only way Oregon can jump us is if they add about 4 really good games to the end of their schedule.

Edit:  The only caveat to this is that I have no idea how an EXTRA game effects the computers.  Our schedule and Oregons schedule are very similar from here forward (Oregon's opp's have 2 more wins than our opp's)...but they do get that one additional game.
