Ubs thinks we will be left out

Kansas State needs style points or losses by top-five teams. I didn't buy Notre Dame as a team good enough to run the table ... until last night. The Fighting Irish beat Oklahoma convincingly, and in the process won over a whole lot of voters. K-State did its dirty work early, beating the Sooners, West Virginia and then Texas Tech on Saturday. But in the final month of the season, the Wildcats might go without a matchup against a Top 25 team, while BCS challengers Notre Dame and Oregon go head-to-head with USC, and the Ducks also get a shot at Oregon State to close the season. The chances of K-State hanging on to the No. 2 spot if Notre Dame wins out are minimal at best. Oregon will be a nailbiter. It's unfair for the Wildcats, but somebody has to get left out if there are three or four undefeated teams. As it stands, K-State looks like the team that will get stuck on the outside looking in. That said, there's still a month of football left to be played -- nobody thought Oklahoma State would lose to Iowa State last year, or that West Virginia would lose to Pitt back in 2009. Anything can happen.

After watching No. 1 Alabama dismantle No. 11 Mississippi State 38-7 in front of a sellout crowd of 101,821 fans at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night, I can offer you an educated guess.

The argument over No. 2 doesn't even matter. You might as well blindfold me, force me to the ground, and let Nick Saban eff my face, because I am his dirty whore of a sex slave.  I would sooner gobble Nick Saban's balls than breath another gasp of air on this Earth.  I dream of Nick Saban leaving a steaming pile of disrespect on my chest on the 50 yard line of Bryant-Denny Stadium at halftime.

John Hunt's AP ballot: Ducks slip to No. 3; Beavers to No. 12

Obviously a Oregon homer, but THIS is what we have to fear...

Notre Dame leaps Florida and Oregon with its win at Oklahoma. Yes, I know the Ducks were playing their cheerleaders by the third quarter against Colorado, but the Irish was very impressive against a very good team.

Kansas State nearly leaps the Ducks, too. K-State has beaten the better teams (Oklahoma, West Virginia, Texas Tech); Oregon has looked better beating teams (everyone). So the Ducks remain ahead of K-State at No. 3.

Oregon State falls to No. 12 after its loss at Washington. It was a slide more than a plummet, as there aren't too many quality one-loss teams.

The ballot ...

1. Alabama

2. Notre Dame

3. Oregon

4. Kansas State

On Ubbs' twitter machine he (Ubb) was saying he thinks it is a mistake for the athletic department to not send voters hookers and info about KSU's accomplishments. Although he said it wasn't enough to get OSU over the hump last year, I agree -- we need to be pandering. Hard. It would be a shame to not be able to say we'd done everything imaginable to curry favor.

Ooh, nice outfit. What is that, Dacron?

I don't think you have the correct sagarin

Quote
Here is Sagarin's BCS Top 10: 1. Kansas State; 2. Notre Dame; 3. Florida; 4. LSU; 5. Oklahoma; 6. Georgia; 7. Alabama; 8. Oregon; 9. South Carolina; 10. Texas Tech.

Before you blow a fuse, remember those are his ratings that do not include margin of victory – as dictated by the BCS. In his preferred Predictor ratings, Sagarin's top five are:

Alabama
Notre Dame
Kansas State
Oregon
Oklahoma
