So for the computer average, it assigns a rank to your average and that is what is figured in?
I mean our computer average is 3, but because Bama's average is slightly less than 3, we get a four?
Tell me that our actual average of the computer rankings is what goes in and not our averages rank.
Our actual average of the computer rankings is what goes in.
You throw out the highest and lowest computer rankings so you are left with 4 rankings. For each of those 4 you get "points" based on your rank. You get 25 points for 1st, 24 points for 2nd, down to 1 point for 25th. You sum your points and divide by 100 to get you computer score. Our computer rankings were 1,2,3,3,4,5. Using the middle four we got 92 points for a computer score of .92. This is the fourth highest computer value. For some reason ESPN is going by that and saying our computer "average" is four, when really our computer average is 3 for the fourth highest.
Also, your Harris poll score is calculated by how many voters points you have divided by 2,875 and your coaches poll score is calculated by how many voter points you have divided by 1,475. These are each the max points in each poll.
