Yes, the old, "Better to have empty seats than sell cheaper tickets" argument.

That same argument breaks out about every six months on the Ok State boards as well.

I've ranted about this multiple times, but this coupled with Travis Ford has effectively killed one of the top 3-4 college basketball environments in the country.

Did you ever go to a game there when Eddie Sutton was taking them to Final Fours?  The place was deafening with the steepest seating I've ever seen.  Put KSU students in there for the 2008 KU game and it's 5-10 decimals louder.

Just a heads up for you cat fans. Fanning will be buying single tickets this season. My friends are now married, wipped, or females that want to tailgagte through the game. Will be looking to buy single tickets to sit next to goEMAW'rs. Will pay the day of the game in cash. Let me know how you feel.

KU game is being announced as a sell out later today

8200 student GA combo passes/ICAT tickets have been sold with 800 GA football only

400 section 28 tickets have been sold for North Texas, and will probably do the same for Tech (could see it for other games but don't count on it)

140 singles left for the Texas game (they sent 200 back last week on Friday expect sell out announcement during the game on Saturday), 376 left for the Tech game.

(still sell backs expected from Texas Tech, possibly more from KU, and maybe a few hundred more from UT, OSU almost sold out of their allotment)

Miami just dumped 500+ yesterday so there are now 1400 left to sell for the Miami game (prepare for emails, phone calls, radio ads, etc..)

The metal bleachers above 10/11 & 18/19 are only like 35% sold for the Miami game.  Does anyone believe that we will actually be able to sell these out at $75 per?

Don't know if they're already doing this for the Miami game, but if they do that thing where you can donate tickets to Ft. Riley soldiers for really cheap we might still be able to sell that game out

No. Those seats need to be lowered to about $25 if we are going to actually sell that game out.

It was maybe a small reach at $75 a pop for Miami given several other premium type games on the schedule, but they're close.

internal discussions about selling Hill Seats for 20 bucks a game with walk up sales at the ticket office only...the money grabbers in the AD like the idea, the ones who enjoy putting video of kids playing football on the hill on the jumbo trons do not like the idea.

I would really like to see the fans pack it in this year.  The hill and all.  I would like to see some new records set this year for fans attending games.  I have a feeling that the team will need all the support they can get with this tough of a schedule.

I do agree that the student section seems a bit tame in comparison to what it used to be...kind of sad.  When the old fogies fill in the numbered seats before the student section is even close to being full, that is sad.

I don't think we can beat our record this year (53811) because of reduced NEZ seating after renovations and also the fact that we don't have the janky-ass bleachers on the west side this year
