Well, word out of camp was that Bender just wasn't smart enough to compete with Sams. Sams is a freaking genius on the turf, as we all saw on Saturday, so maybe this is not a knock on Bender. Or maybe, just maybe, ol' spaghetti brains Bender has been getting fooled by the locals into giving them new 60 day tags on their vehicles after the standard 30 day tag expires.

For a man on the edge of death himself, I'm sure he'd give a kid a pass to go to his Grandma's funeral.

Either the whole story is bogus or Bender is making stuff up for not wanting to play football.

Kansas does 60 day tags now instead of 30. Mine blew off in the car wash yesterday so I went in this morning to get a replacement.

I don't know if he was 2nd string or 4th string, all i know is that if Bender keeps his scrambled mind straight he's going places with Briggs. Running that damn place in four years if he wants.
