it's hard to tell from angles and everything but that blue crane that clams posted looks about 1/3 the size of the bsfs cranes. nice looking crane though don't get me wrong.

my guess is that it's about 180 feet tall.

which would put it squarely in the lead b/w it and the bsfs cranes which don't go an inch past 175 ft tall.

Met a guy in Montana two years ago. Was living in his truck driving around the state inspecting cranes. Had a cow herding dog with him. Said dog would sleep in the back (on the flatbed) year round. He was surprised it didn't die during the winter.

No matter where I am working in MHK, my last week, I always take a route that will drive me past the cranes. I love the cranes. We used to ponder just how close they would come to hitting if the taller one was to turn over the shorter one. Sorry about that, I'll be back at the stadium tomorrow. I don't know why I picked a time I knew would be insanely busy to start a project like this but I'll definitely be keeping my weekly football updates going until I can get a little free time to shoot more stuff.
