Construction Update Master Thread

I just hate looking at the dev now.  Also fans who sit on the west side of the stadium, it's going to suck for them this year

Meh, not my best day out there.  I tried the east side and luckily there was a gate open.  My wide shots turned out ok, but getting a better angle on the construction didn't exactly work out like I'd planned.

Next week I'll be back to the west side.

I was planning to take some new shots of the b-ball facility but the only noticeable change was the front doors had been installed.  I'd heard the whole thing had been sealed up and the windows were all in, but I noticed there were still some that haven't been installed.  The football crew is totally punking those losers.

Thanks that one isn't bad actually, I just wish the sun would have been a little lower.  That sun burned out a lot of the color I had to work with.

I've been trying to get down to the discovery center for weeks.  I'd say I'll have that one by the end of the weekend.  I have to check the upcoming Jardine construction schedule to see if I should do that one now or wait a little bit.

non break-away rim?  that thing's going to get torn down first day we get a drunken dunk-off going in your kid's room.

I dunk like crazy on that thing.  It has 10 lag bolts holding it up and I haven't heard it make a sound.  It's really heavy and a pain to put up so I'm glad we're having a boy so I don't have to take it down.

your wainscotting is way too tall.

wainscoting should either be 1/3 or 2/3 the height of the wall.

dunno where you got that advice, there is no "rule" for wainscoting.  for my taste, that's way to high for a bedroom, but it's your house.   just don't eff up and end up with an abortion of a light switch like that dumbass did.

No offense taken, you guys may very well be right.  I've really never seen it done here, but it's done a lot near the coasts and since we're going for a nautical theme I felt like it would fit. Until I get the wood painted I really won't know if I like it.  If you search board and batten waincoting on google images you'll see a lot of them at 2/3 and some that go all the way to the ceiling.  We chose the blue paint from this picture and it would have made the room way too dark if it was more than 1/3 of the wall.

thanks dlew.  steve dave mocked it last week when he was in town.  why?  who knows.  anywho, i love that damn crane with every fiber of my being.  if you ever want more pics of it, just post here and request them.  there's a similar crane on the same site that i didn't even take a picture of.  LOL, just sitting there doing what cranes do and i didn't even bother to take a picture of it.  some days i think i need to walk back over to the construction site and snap a few photos of the 2nd crane.  and i'll be perfectly honest with everyone here.  if anyone wants to see the other crane i will take a photo of it and upload it to this site.
