I think my Nika can do it.

Rusty,

Maybe you've already said but where does the intense water polo fandom come from? Does your daughter play? I got into watching it during the last games but being from KS it is still pretty foreign to me.

Yeah my daughter played in California and continued to play in New York and will probably play club in college. She's definitely the driver for our fandom but I really enjoy it too. I watched a lot of college games with her (on ESPN plus) and probably will continue to because a lot of her friends and teammates will be playing in college and it's fun to watch

ESPN+ absolutely rules for non-football/basketball college sports. we watch so much college baseball and college gymnastics.

Fun fact, every single concession stand at every venue has the exact same menu. In Lyon, athletics, big venues, small venues, it's all the same. And no beer other than non alcoholic!

Also during both athletics sessions I went to, no one left their seats once over three hours. There's no downtime at all, it's non stop and really exhausting

This is a fun gold medal bball game.

These poor little referees are absolutely struggling to keep up on both sides. But I like that they're letting them play for the most part.

Sprint relays (4x100, 4x200, 4x400) are peak Olympic. Individual sprints up to 400m are great as well.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

4x400’s were electric. Sounded like the roof was about to blow off the Stade. Awesome to see Gabby Thomas, Syd and Rai Benjamin in the relays. Team USA was so awesome in track this Olympics.

Steph. Curry.

I thought this was cool, no one at a cafe facing the street because they had the game on. I was kind of surprised I didn't see more of this, the only time I saw it was for the gold medal basketball game:

Rusty, my Portugal trip ruled, but you kicked the absolute crap out of it with your Olympics trip. I am extremely jealous. That looked like a blast all around.

Rumblings that Mondo Duplantis (Pole Vault WR holder) and Karsten Warholm (400M hurdles WR holder) are going to face off in the 100M dash at Diamond League meet later this summer. I think this sort of challenge is intriguing and should be done more.
