Don't look now but Team USA are in the process of out and out whooping ass on the track. Lyles has a chance to win the 200M, Hoppel is a contender in the 800M, American hurdlers are favorites as well.
KCMO's Quincy Hall claims gold in the 400M a few minutes ago.

USA has been ridiculously amazing in men's distance events, where in the hell did this come from? Medals in the 10,000, mile, and steeplechase!

Men's VB collapse was a sight to behold.  Blew out a banged up Poland to go up 2-1 and then blow a lead in the 4th game and lose the 5th.

I'm sad I haven't seen the indoor cycling events yet.  I hope there are more to come.

Good to see USA having success in distance events. I hadn't seen the men's steeple result yet, that's pretty amazing. Did you see the women's steeplechase last night? Just a brutal death race, a contest to see who was capable of absorbing the most pain.

I stopped watching that match then had to turn back when I saw it went to a 5th set. Good for Poland though, they've been really good but snake bit.

Cycling is happening the rest of the week.

I did, I won't ruin what happens in the men's steeplechase, but pain is a real apt description.

Just watched it. That was a nasty fall. Gritty performance by the American runner.

EDIT: tweet with video of the fall and Rooks' finish

Yeah watched the whole thing, it was disheartening. But yeah, overall US is just kicking ass. France ngl was starting string being the hosts but seem to flatlined a bit

I don't remember a more enjoyable Olympics.
Don't think there could be a better host city than Paris.
Both Team USA 4 x 100 teams made it into the finals.
The next 3 days are going to be loaded with track finals.
Cannot wait to watch Syd and Anna Cockrell in the 400M hurdles and Grant Holloway in the 110 hurdles tonight.

what is this windsurfing/wakeboarding/sailing hybrid I'm watching on gold zone right now? I've legitimately never have seen this sport before and I watch a crap load of weird sports.

I've taken the stairs to the second floor before but to get to the very top you need an elevator. We took elevators all the way up this time

Seats for tonight. They were "restricted view" because we can't see the jumbo Tron.

There are an insane number of Dutch here for some reason? Do they have a star competing? There are a lot of Dutch everywhere but the most I've seen percentage wise tonight

Not sure if serious but Dutch hurdler Femke Bol (second best women's 400M hurdler in history) goes up against the greatest of all time, Sydney McLaughlin from the US in the final tonight.

Thank you. I legit do not follow the sport at all.
Looks like they have three in the pentathlon too.

Got to see Quincy Hall get his gold

Super fun watching javelin warm up. On the way to their 1500 semi Nicki hiltz saw Tara Davis who was warming up for long jump and they did a little dance and hugged on the way to the starting line and it was really sweet
