I can't be happier that we have a pass first point guard who's cool being the fourth guy, a real team player.  This Orris kid is the type of person we want representing K-State.  We don't want some top 150 prima donna who is going to be too flashy and shoot too much.

Spoke to oscar Weber at length this evening as part of a Q&A for the upcoming issue of our magazine.

Figured I'd this part here, mostlybecauseof how much has been madeof Orris' recruitment. As always, I don't have an opinion either way. I just thought it was interesting.

Of course, you can read the full interview in the magazine when it prints.

ME: And your thoughts on Michael?

oscar: I knew Mike. Obviously, we had him at Illinois. He's just a tough-nosed kids who likes to compete. When he was a junior, his high school won the most games in the school's history.

For the future, we just needed depth at the point guard. Michael knows that Angel (Rodriguez) is the guy. He knows we have Will (Spradling) and that we have Martavious (Irving). He just wanted to be part of it after he came on the visit and loved it. I just think it gives us a real stable guy for the future. He's a pass-first guy and a winner.

It actually was LuCo and Energy.  They won 23 games the, year they didn't play with Jake, Jamar, or Victor.  Jake won 21 the year he didn't play with Jamar and Vic, and of course Jamar and Vic won 22 their year without Jake.  So if you take suspensions into account the top two looks like this.

No.  They were active.  As far as K-State is concerned games count while you are suspended, that's stupid IMO.

Hmm.... Interesting comparison. I guess i'm waiting for that significant win for LSU. I mean they recently gave up 108 points to North Florida.
