Had peanut wings today. They were good, but it took an hour to get our food. :dubious:

Enjoyed brunch at Pig and Finch in Park Place on Sunday morning (I had the Corned Beef Hash, Mrs. WNK had the Sunny Side Up Egg on Brioche).  Afterwards we walked about 50 feet to Marv's Delicatessen and ordered a brisket and corned beef melt (#14 Over and Under and Mrs. WNK had the classic Reuben) to-go for dinner that night.  And of course we had to share a small cup of Paciguo gelato on the way home.

Wow, what a weekend it was in KC.  Got plenty of the city's best eats.

For those that recommended Jose Peppers: THANK YOU!  My taste buds exploded with the authentic south of the border flavor.  I had the Monterey Chicken Burrito and I can say, with no reservations, that it is the best meal in KC.  Hands down.  Not the best Mexican dish.  Not the best "non-bbq" dish.  The best meal.  Period.  End of story.  Comprenden??

Also ate at this little pizza bistro called "Pizza Street."  It was tucked away in some vacant shopping center in OP (off ~75th and quivera).  It was buffet style and pretty cheap.  The pizza was very unique - buffalo chicken, mac and cheese, baked potato, etc.  It was perfect for a little lunch spot.  The slices are really small so you can eat about 25 and sample all the different kinds completely guilt free. Not in the same universe as Jose Peppers, but I absolutely recommend it.

the authentic taste of mexico nestled in the heart of overland park.  utopia?  could be.  perfect?  of course.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Anybody been to that (I'm assuming) authentic mexican joint on 50 highway with a plane coming out of it?  Drive by that every time headed to the lake and always catches my eye
