What if this were for a date? A dump doesn't sound great.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I take all my first dates to Kona. It's generic, but it gets the job done.

I also like going there, because this guy I hated in college is a waiter there. It's super awesome to take a bunch of hotties there and tip his face off to prove that my path is more elite than his right now. Douchey thing to like, I know.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't afford nice things. Trust me, if you met the guy, you'd get it.

I will be KC for a three day weekend in a couple weeks.  The mrs. and kids will be with me.  Any elite suggestos would be appreciated.  I would like to show Mrs. Bf that all the time I spend on this blog is not just tomfoolery.  TIA

Nice?  Kid friendly?  Type of food?

Nice?
Well I don't want to scar the wife and kids.  Please don't suggest anything that would put our lives in danger.

Kid friendly?
Kids are well behaved and have come through with shining colors in the past.  So ritzy places are in play here.

Type of food?
Anything goes.

Kind of depends where you are staying.  Most of my personal experience is everything north of the plaza.

I would think you would want to get some good BBQ since it's kind of the KC thing to do so any of the standard spots.  Gates, Bryants, or OK Joes all give a good experience and good food.  Not sure what part of the city you are in but Strouds is a good family place with great food.  Kids and you will love the cinn rolls.

I always enjoy pretty much anything on SW Blvd for mexican food, Beer Kitchen in Westport is very good and the kids would enjoy it.  If you want to get exotic Extra Virgin is very good and has some wild things on the menu like duck tongue tacos etc.  Depending on weather Haus down in Martini corner has a sweet patio, some interesting beers, and lots of different brat options that you could all enjoy.

Everyone loves pizza so maybe Grinders and they have cool junk to look at.  Favorite wing spot is The Peanut, get BLT's for those that cant handle the heat.  Wings are huge so only get 6 even if you are hungry.

Also, you guys are pretty rough ridin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) if you think I spend every paycheck on student loans. A lot of ppl have student loans. I'm pretty conservative with my money. I probably only eat out 2-4 times a month, if that!
