Yes, its pretty good but I would say overrated based on what I had read.  There wasn't anything we had there that you would just go head over heals about.  Dont get me wrong, I want to go back and try some other things but there wasn't anything that stood out to me as a must recommend.  Kind of a too cool for school type place someone on here is going to rip me for thinking it wasnt the most amazing food this side of New Orleans.

Honestly I liked it better as a food truck.  I still like it in Westport though....

Nope not really
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Lunch I hear is a bit better deal but yeah I think it's not really worth it....I guess if you can just gorge yourself on meat maybe it's great but not me.  Check out like Anton's if you love meat.

no.  as a matter of fact, it sucks ass.  the quality of meat is on par with some place like texas roadhouse.  they have a big salad bar full of crap that you find on salad bars.   it costs $50 per person + drinks which come in small glasses and are expensive.

i think port fonda was just ok.  haven't tried their brunch.  you know who has a good brunch?  gram & dun.  speaking of which, their parent company's taco place is opening soon.  across from ok joes @ 47th.

can anyone compare/contrast the quality to Em Chamas.   I've been there twice.

The thing about PF's brunch is their build your own bloody mary station (if you like a BM)

As for Gram and Dun, I'll have to put that on my to do list. They were going to call the taco place "Big Papi's Tacos" but apparently David Ortiz was all  :nono: So now it'll be called "Taco Republic".

Bread & Butter Concepts is also opening a second BRGR downtown in P&L. Hopefully Cordish doesn't eff them over like they've done to every local business down there.

i've never been to en chamas.  fogo was my one and only shot at a brazilian steakhouse.
i was really kind of mad after i paid +$150 for that crap.

i mean. if you're trying to get your beef/lamb on and prefer quantity over quality, then you might like it.  but i'll never go back.  the gf liked the salad bar, i did a once over and concluded it looked like a salad bar potluck from some retirement home.  then headed back to my seat and started gorging on the overcooked meat until i felt like i had eaten as much as was possible for me.  and then felt gross.

i met a hungarian girl who said it was her favorite restaurant in kc.  others must like it too, it's been open now for a few years.  for that much money though, you can get a better meal in kc.

of course cordish is going to eff them.  was talking to the head chef from bread & butter last week and he's convinced they'll be fine.
if i'm doing build your own bloody mary then i'm going to the bartender's brunch at record bar.  brunch food = decent food but different/unique menu, bloody bar = pretty great.

Port Fonda, I agree with most here. Pretty meh. Gf and I split shrimp, pork, and beef tongue tacos. Guacamole was fantastic but then again when isn't it? Tortillas were subpar.

The way to do fogo is during restaurant week. Its only $30, and it includes dessert if you can leave room for cheesecake. I found room for cheesecake

I ate at the one in Chicago and I felt the same way.  Wasn't worth it.  Wasn't a fan of the meat runner guys/flip card system either.  Something about all those dorks running around with meat all over the place put me off.  I'd rather just order a dish and be done with it.  I don't need people carting meat back and forth to my table.

"Sir! More meat here! I need some meat! I ate all the meat you brought last time! I have this little green circle here indicating my desire for additional meats! Acknowledge it! :shakesfist: Meats for my fat face please! nOMNOMNOM!"

ya let's talk about the 17 year old "gauchos" they have working for them.
"hey man, what is this meat you're serving me"
"yes, it's beef"
"thx bro"

I'm pretty sure they're classically trained in the ancient Brazilian art of meat delivery.
