I like both.

My favorite kc steakhouse is the majestic.  Probably my favorite restaurant atmosphere wise in the city besides Jose Pepz.

Did you know (I'm 100% sure you did) the Jose Pepz on J Drive moved????

First they came for Applebee's and I said nothing.

Then they came for Jose Peppers and I said nothing.

When they came for Avelluto's there was no one left to say anything.

Mesob with KK last weekend.  Easily the best Caribbean/Ethiopian restaurant that I've ever been to.

Everything was really good.  The oxtails were very smoky, which was great and also unusual compared to how I've always had them.
Ethiopia is in Africa, dawg
I think see where the conFUSION lies

It wasn't even really fusion.  It was a menu of Ethiopian and a menu of Caribbean.  Despite that making it far more likely to suck, it was good!

Tavernonna, more like Tavernotgooda. Wine list is great but no dish was near as good as I expected. So either they have lost quality, it was a bad night, or all the time I spend with waks is starting to affect me.

i had Westport Cafe for dinner last week. this place has flown under the radar for me even when i lived close to westport. very good, would recommend. lamb kefta and "grandma's gnocchi" were wonderful.

when most people think of westport, they think of getting shot and killed, not “hey let’s grab a good meal together”.  but I agree it’s good!

It's been the better part of a decade since I last went there but the menu was almost entirely French inspired then. Has that changed?

no it's still v french inspired. french flag flying above the front door. the chef is french, he came out and explained our hors d'oeuvre platter, thick french accent. i made a joke about how it was probably just some dude from independence faking it.

Not strictly restaurant per se, but Broadway Butcher has 8 oz "kobe beef" (i thought we agreed that was a scam?) burgers that they sell for $13/pair and my god. My heavens. I added S+P then threw them on a hot weber and idk guys that might be the best burger ever

This happened last night, right before watching Twins (1988), just to give context. So just now I ate a leftover burger (microwave 2 min at 70% power) and it's still perfect. Good job Broadway Butcher

any leftover beef (steak/burgers/brisket) always tastes bad/not even close as good when microwaving.  maybe my microwave power is too strong (71%)?

Gotta do a sous vide reheat or low oven temp reheat.

See if your microwave has the sensor reheat. Not saying that'll be perfect but that does less "cooking" and more "reheating" and you don't have to eff with the power levels.

I was raised by freak show parents who used different microwave power levels all the time. A lot of people just use 100% power all the time I've noticed. Untapped potential smdh

I was raised in a 100% household, my dad's special lady friend introduced me to power levels when she made me a bunch of frozen meals when I was on some hellish chemo. I had no idea.
