zarda is ok. horrendous location(s) though. i mean if they're "kansas city barbecue" why aren't they in kansas city?

Yeah, I go for lunch every 6-8 weeks or so as a change up and it's never terrible, but it's not special either.

#chickenstrip alert tho, slim chickens (near el zarda) has v good 'strips. Exactly the same concept as that horrible raising cane place except good food.

Your face does, cf3! They were known for their dairy anyways back in the mobster days. They limped into BBQ and they're winning awards on their hobby business. They're like the K-State bball of BBQ. They don't even try and they're Americas team still cause they're facepalming the competition.

The last time I had Zarda (a few years ago) I had the burnt ends sandwich and it was terrible. The article explains that they promoted the hell out of this contest to their customers both in store and on social media. Jack Stack probably didn't even remotely care; Zagat's rating likely means a little more to them.

probably same crew that finds it horribly offensive to have to go to the bar to order a beer at double shift or any other brewery ever (which also commonly have communal tables btw)

have only been for drinks and the Brass Onion dip but both were good.

It will probably stay a little busier than Newport because the menu is less $ but I don't think the empty nesters that are the bread & butter of all the SoJoCo places enjoy PraireFire due to the parking.

Tribe has only normal tables/booths, so it's safe for old people. food pretty good but you have to order like 3 things bc the plates are so small. i might go back later in the year when the patio is open, to grab a beer & ceviche
