It's pretty gross but it's actually gotten better. Mixing in the green helps too. Ponaks is good for 3 things:

- Margs
- Guac
- Chicken Tinga 'rito

(Sonora tacos, burrito Deshebrada aren't bad either)

we've all gotten too drunk there, the margs are essentially lime flavored tequila shots. the food is just so bad though.

I prefer Bryant's fries, but that is entirely a stylistic preference

I don't think you can go wrong with fries at any of these places, but JS definitely owns the crown when it comes to sides.

Their fries can be beat. Wyandotte, Gates come to mind.

I feel like Gates are more crispy. More potato too which I usually hate for for some reason enjoy them a great deal at gates.

gates fries are a steak fry cut versus jackstack's regular cut, duh.
gates fries are better than jackstack's but you have to ask them to cook them "crispy"
slaps fries are batter dipped and better than jackstacks

jackstack doesn't make mac & cheese, q39 wins that category
jackstack doesn't make hushpuppies, slaps wins that category

joe's kc has the best onion rings in town, those things jackstack serves are an abomination

gates uses wonder bread, jackstack uses roma. for bbq, i prefer wonder. gates wins that category but not really a side.

in summary, jackstack has the best beans and cheesy corn and potato salad (increds)

only a fool would eat cole slaw so don't go there girlfriend

See @pissclams. Sometimes I can't make a decision at grinders. So I just get a half a sandwich and a 6 pack of wings. Pro tip: always ask for both wiz and provolone together.
