Justus Drugstore was really good. Had the farmers platter to start. Bone Marrow is overrated but not bad, just kinda whatever. Sausage, bacon, and the cheeses were great. Rabbit was ok. Had the pork chop and it was superb. So tender and juicy. Vegetable medly was tasty and very fresh. Lady friend had the risotto, which was great and would have liked it as a side dish. It was good for a special occasion.

Dinner was slightly ruined by the guy behind my table that was ranting about Obama and said "he was an absent one term senator that was off smoking crack the whole time"

Lake Quivira wouldn't let us cater in.  :curse: We wanted to do Margaritas (mexican food), since we knew both these families want to get blasted anyways. I'm interested to hear how this process goes for you, since we had too skip it.

i could write a book. due to the nature of the reception venue, we would prefer to not do a standard buffet, so we're looking at doing small plates/stations. we wanted to do grinders but they don't do full catering service which our reception venue requires, so now we're looking at taco republic.

Justus drugstore pro tip.  When they open their patio for the summer (probably pretty soon, if not already) go there and get the best burger you've ever had.  It's $10.50 + toppings.

would like to keep it below $20/person. it will be an early reception so doesn't have to be a full dinner.

Ate at Westport Cafe on Tuesday night following the Father John Misty show. Had Danny Edwards BBQ for lunch the next day and followed it up with a brewery tour at Boulevard. Would recommend.

It was the only thing open so late and we just ate off of the happy hour menu. Had mussels, steak frites and some oysters. Nothing was outstanding but it satisfied a very hungry (and very not sober) waks.

The small spot downtown north of Sprint Center got taken down for absolutely no reason.  Parking lot sits there to this day.  the new location isn't bad, nothing spectacular.
