been there many times.  wonderful breadsticks, but their pasta is sub par.  shame too -- I used to coach the basketball team Mr. Fazoli's youngest played on.  Kid was pretty good, but it seemed to me that the family wasn't very well off.  Hopefully they get their pasta back on track.

I went to grade school with Karen Fazoli, 3rd daughter of the pasta tycoon. More like breadstick tycoon, if you ask me.

burg and barrel is in a very poor section of overland park (north).  i can't imagine that they use fresh ingredients.  i would never go there.

This is why I won't go.  75th and Metcalf?  whoa

sad to hear that there are cracks in the pasta empire that mr fazoli created.
that son of a bitch better crack the whip down there and straighten things up.
but will he? who knows.  ?

side note- i met his nephew, Perry Fazoli, at a Metallica concert in the mid-90's.  you could literally smell the semolina coming from the son of a bitch's pores

My area is overrun by upper Midwesterners and NE'ers every summer.  I guess Kansas has a Cabelas and a hand dug well or something.  That pulls a lot of Iowa, Mo, and Okie tourists.

Maybe i'll go to NC someday.  I didn't mean to offend you, I just didn't think of North Carolina as a vacation destination.

I mean, it's next to a vacuum repair shop. What is that?

(Burg & Barrel is a fine place, although often overrun with squawks. I've downed my fair share of Burger Grease [RIP] pints)

I"m not offended.

Weird post Rick.

I guess Charlotte and RDU kinda is, I mean, I'm not really a fan of RDU, but Charlotte has gotten a lot nicer since they built the arena downtown and all the banks moved in with their huge buildings.
