Correct, he is a sous chef there. We exchanged waves. They were quite busy.

Ms. Wacky just reminded me. I asked if they could change one of the TV's from some 3rd world country sport, to march madness. And somehow, our hipster bartender was super annoyed by the request. Like I was the biggest weirdo in the world. I believe it was a Sunday.

The remote app on Samsung phones works great for DIY bar TV tuning
This sounds like a nifty trick. Would it work for their direct tv etc?

Yeah, that's crazy!

Also, I finally tried Burg and barrel yesterday. I give it a 7.5/10. Their fiery burger wasn't very fiery, but it was a huge burger and enjoyed it. Still not better than Beer Kitchen.

Metcalf and 76th st. House/dog sitting for my folks this week and all the locals keep talking about that place. I finally had to give it a try. It's where the peanut use to be over there. It's tucked away.

burg and barrel is in a very poor section of overland park (north).  i can't imagine that they use fresh ingredients.  i would never go there.

I've been to Burg and Barrel and it's kind of weird that one would say it was in a "very poor" section of Overland Park.   Okay there Warren.

I'd rate it 6.5/10

maybe you're more used to being around poor areas than i am, but i would not feel comfortable in that area past sunset
i don't carry weapons though.  if i did, i may feel differently.  overland park is becoming very rundown and poor though.

It is definitely more run down over there. The food was ok when I went last year, but lots of burger options in KC. Plus the Peanut, Winsteads and Papa kenos are down the road so there are already lots of good food options for that part of OP(oors)
