Since when did this become a humble brag thread of travel thread proportions
Every part of it other than the BBQ arguments

i disagree

so if you go to a restaurant in the city where 90% of posters live and you say if something was good or bad you are humblebragging?

I don't remember specifically where the BBQ stuff is in this thread, but it's safe to say it is there because it's in just about every KC related thread.  Mocat was the one that brought up the humblebragginess in this thread. I think there is a lot of "hey check out this hip place I go to" in this thread, so I agreed. :dunno:

i've never looked at this thread that way.  i guess b/c i don't picture places as being hip.  only good or shitty.

so downtown pizza co operates out of a gay bar. i had no idea. ordered carryout late friday night and was expecting your typical late night pizza place, but no, it's just a bar with a bunch of fit dudes and great music, no sign of pizza anywhere. i had to ask a bar tender (dressed in leather pants and no shirt :D) if i was in the right place.. pizza was good! AND i got a free shot from some of the very nice patrons that were at the bar.

Studio? I got banned for life from that place according to the surprisingly aggressive bouncer considering the bar theme.

While there are a lot of places I really enjoy in KC and recommend to anyone I can, there's no place like this. I didn't even realize people could consider this as a possible thing to humblebrag about in KC.

Edit: Oops, missed clams saying basically the same thing first.

So guys, my friend was kind enough to score me a rezzie at Bridgers last weekend.* Not bad, not bad. Just this little place tucked away down a back alley in Westport**, no sign or anything. Anyway, real intimate***...so many beers****. And one of the few places in town where you can get some of that awesome Local Pig product.***** Will definitely be going again, if I'm lucky enough to get another spot.

* No rezzie required, place was wide open at 7 pm on a Friday.
** Right at the corner of Westport and Mill, can't miss it. Where America's Pub used to be.
*** Lots of seating. Probably 40 spots.
**** This is true, much beer.
***** Also, you can get it at Local Pig. East Bottoms, 10:30-7:30 daily.

(But yeah, it was pretty good.)

They'll actually be brags disguised as smug complaints.

Guys, I don't have time to re-read this entire thread.  I have a hot date tonight.  Where should I go?   You know, someplace that basically guarantees the sexy time later ("doing it" if you know what I mean).

Playboy X and poonhound69 aren't answering their PM's.

Tannin has a good environment. La bodega small plates. Classic cup sit on front patio. That little Italian place South plaza. Name is escaping me.
