i think i'm finally starting to get burned out on houstons.  it's been a 1-2 time per week locashe for clams for the past couple years.  sad to see it possibly coming to an end.  i'm going to cold turkey it for a few weeks and hope for the best.

i get either the french dip, the flying chicken platter, the hickory burger, the salmon, or the filet.  always get the red beans and rice soup on monday's and the baked potato soup (used to be on sunday's, now moved to thursdays for some strange reason).

I ate at my two favorite places this weekend. Beer Kitchen and Margaritas. I've kinda gave up on all the other restaurants here in KC cause I don't think they can satisfy me the way that those two do.

Town Tavern....much better food than anticipated.  Street tacos on weekends are pretty solid.

I beat down my wife/SIL/MIL this weekend over Margaritas.  We went to Brewbaker's instead, which wasn't that good either.

They've got a decent beer selection/patio/tv setup, food is pretty average.

Great place.

Fanman... What do you eat at margaritas? I tend to think it's garbage too so never go there.

A good French Dip is one of my five favorite meals, and Houston's is (maybe) the best I've ever had.

I will say, that I did go to the Cheesecake Factory this weekend, struggled to find something I wanted, and then went to the French Dip.  Was pleasantly surprised.

so downtown pizza co operates out of a gay bar. i had no idea. ordered carryout late friday night and was expecting your typical late night pizza place, but no, it's just a bar with a bunch of fit dudes and great music, no sign of pizza anywhere. i had to ask a bar tender (dressed in leather pants and no shirt :D) if i was in the right place.. pizza was good! AND i got a free shot from some of the very nice patrons that were at the bar.

i forgot about this.  so i made it cold turkey w/o houston's for 4 days, but then went back and got a french dip last thursday.  was great.  all previously implemented restaurant avoidance measures have been called off.
