Bridger's Bottle Shop opened today.  Had the Italian beef/Pepperoni sandwich

I heard the food is pretty good and bottle selection is top notch. The cool thing is I think you can walk in and get 6-packs to go. A great think for those who live close in Westport and enjoy good beer and a walk to Gomer's Midtown is too far. I'm anxious to try it out.
The quaff downtown sales liqour. It's always nice to run right next door when you're getting low in the middle of a bender.

I've heard that. Always good to have a go-to when you are in the middle of a bender. Haven't partaken in that yet. The shady gas station across from the Star is a couple blocks away so it serves me well.

Any Sama Zama fans? Does she get much lunch traffic? Every time I'm there the dinner crowd is sparse.

The company I currently work for bottles their sauces for grocery.

I wish it did better business, the owner is super nice, the menu is unique and there aren't many Japanese restaurants in KC that aren't just bland sushi restaurants for white people. It's hard to compete though when 90% of the Westport crowd goes there specifically for Beer Kitchen and McCoys

Yeah, she's pretty awesome. I want it to succeed just because of her. The ramen is pretty legit. Maybe not NY ramen, but good. Hard for me to pass on the Yaki though. We've only been twice to the Westport location and both times there were fewer people than when she was out south in a smaller building.

Yeah the Yaki is increds. She kinda gambled on hoping the hipster crowd would embrace ramen, but I don't think it's working.

I had no idea this was the case...thought they had to have a package liquor license....thank you PC, I learned something today.

So to pay it forward....Antons has had growlers for awhile now and a pretty good selection.

Fogo De Chao tonight, never been and havent really ever had the desire to eat at a very expensive buffett. I understand the concept but what is the best strategy?  Is there a best cut of meat that they do?

Just sample a bunch and then decide what to do next.  They keep coming around.  You're going to leave feeling like crap.

I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

i've been twice, i'd say the meat is slightly above Sirloin Stockade quality.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

if you don't turn that card over they will not stop.

you'll see.

p.s. absolutely under no circumstances should you partake of the salad bar.

Had a couple slices of cheese and a big asparagus at the salad bar. Tastes one polenta fry and one bite of mashed taters. Tried every piece of meat they would bring by. Filet, lamb chops, and leg of lamb were all excellent. Sausages were next best which surprised me.

 I love grinders. Like, A LOT! However, sometimes on the weekend, I choose another place based on TV's, so I can watch the game. I think TV's in grinders might take away the mystique, but it is a factor in my decision making. Hmm...
