it's pretty cool. one big open area, and all of the outside walls facing the streets are glass. one big bar in the middle. also about 8-10 huge projection tv's lining the outside. there won''t be a better place to watch games.

There's some new champagne bar down there now too. All the girls keep talking about it. Westport is kicking ass right now.

Probably for the best, bud. It's hard to binge that stuff anyways. Too sugary.

Bridger bottles.

Hope Ale House is good...worried that it would suck given its the Coal Vines people.

I don't love Coal Vines, but I wouldn't say it's a failed concept or that the owners are incapable.  For what it is, I think they do a good job.

For my last lunch in KC, my family's taking me to this weird little pizza bistro in Olathe.  It's called Pizza Street.  Supposed to be a local treasure.  I'll let you guys know how it is.

located in olathe's "little italy" district, pizza street is a real treasure for us foodies who can't find time to cruise across the atlantic to naples to get our pizza fix.  a true italian gem, pizza street's pies are magnifico!

REPORT:

When the moon hits you eye like a big pizza pie.  That's amore.  And i'd like to have some more'e.  More Pizza street that is.  So many different types of pizza to choose from -- it was like a whole cavalcade of pizza flavors!

It had all the basics: your cheese, pepperoni, sausage, etc.  But they also had all these authentic italian spins on the classics: Jalapeno pep, BufChick, and Alfredo Pizza (just like my nina used to prepare!)!

Not to mention, piles and piles of pasta.

Did I mention the best part yet?  It's a buffet.

When the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool.  That's amore.  That's Pizza Street.  That's my KC Restaurant lock of the year.
