if you want a brewery with really good beer AND good vibes, drive a little further west on Johnson Drive to Friction.

Yep, love that place and area for that matter. Beers at Friction, food at Hanks or the District and maybe a cocktail at Drastic.  :lick:

Drastic is great.  Wild Child is on my list there but I haven't hit it yet.

I don't hit these places that often. Def more of a beer person, but i like Drastic much better. Wild Child just isn't my vibe/maybe i'm too old... :dunno:

I don't know if my sushi tastes have improved or they have declined but doesn't seem as great as it was. Has a loyal following.

We did not get the goons but the sushi was good and it was happy hour. Everything was half price which was great!

I was raised by freak show parents who used different microwave power levels all the time. A lot of people just use 100% power all the time I've noticed. Untapped potential smdh

the other day i was at my parents' house and i put something in the microwave to reheat at 70% and my mom commented from over my shoulder "I would have gone with 50% for that"

Yep.  Love the Maj.  Stop by Jimmy John's next door and pickup a day old bread for dessert.

Had Friction Beer Co last night and Sauls beef was there. We had great beef and brews. Ms. Greg kicked my ass at Phase 10.

Walked to Werners today. God their sausage is good. No idea what we are doing tonight but its been a good food weekend so far.

Wandered around River market for a few hours. Got some drinks and snacks. Window shopped etc.

gift card to gram and dun do got drinks and charcuterie board on the patio. Gorgeous day but man the plaza sucks.

Ended at Lenexa grinders on patio to watch the end of the royals game on my phone and split a pizza Philly.

Zero zero pasta is really good. As is Fox & Pearl brunch. Viva ala westside!

Affare white asparagus for a bit longer, if you haven't had white asparagus soup I'd get there this week folks.

Anything new and fun people have been to recently? I'm hanging with some friends that are a bit fancier than me and Mrs SF. We like bars and breweries and they are more of the cocktail crowd. I'm trying to find a spot that's a good mix of both so I don't have to sit in a nice steakhouse or whatever for 3 hours and $600. I've steered them to Jims Alley, Hanks, and the oyster place in Brookside before and i'm running out of ideas.
