except your roommate was either complicit in starting the fire or throwing grain alcohol on it as he blamed Texas for lighting the match.

ther was no "fire".  some schools just left for better conferences.  they didn't want to be in the conference with us, get over it.

Let's all be totally rational about our pleasure in watching 18-22 year old guys throw a ball through a hoop!

I always valued Moo for our common cause of hating arrogant ku pricks, which is the majority of the ku fanbase.  I don't think Moo tried to burn us out, but were worried about the nut that wears burnt orange (pun intended) was going to.  They moved out before the burnt orange nut could furk things up.

I really don't care about this game either way. I've never felt too strongly about Mizzou, and I doubt it would be the national draw some of you guys claim it would be after 1 or 2 years.

I would much rather schedule an annual football game against CU. I've always made the trip to Boulder, and I'm really going to miss that.

Its like MU was a roommate and decided to move out.  They then left the house with a fire going in their room and not giving a crap if they burned the place down.  We were in that house.

no, they just moved out and we flipped our crap about not being able to find a new roomate but then we did.  now we are dicks to the old roomate even though they still want to be buds.

We have to be accurate with what really happened.

The apartment we were living in had a fire. It wasn't a huge fire, but enough to do some damage. It was possible the complex would be torn down, a lot of things were up in the air. My roommate went out and got a new lease because of the fire. Seems his parents had a little more money than we did, so he had no problem with the deposit. I didn't have that advantage, but I knew the guy that lives down the hall and his dad was loaded. He seemed to want to stay, so I figured if he stuck around the complex might be repaired, plus I didn't have many other options other than a couple crappy apartments; real dives. The guy down the hall could've probably built his own apartment if he wanted to. Part of the problem was my roommate didn't get along too well with him.

Eventually they figured out (they think) what started the fire. The guy down the hall encouraged me to stay and since I didn't have many other options I did and in fact got a sweet deal on my new place in the complex. In some ways after the damage was fixed my old roommate kind of wanted to stay too, but it was too late, he already had a lease.

I don't think there is any problem meeting my old roommate for a beer or two once in a while.

:dunno:

Close, I'd add that 3 years ago your roommate started the small fire when he brought some slut over and she threw her cig in a trash can on the way out when she ran off with the other neighbor who smelled like corn.

I know. I was just saying that as far as my own personal enjoyment goes, I care more about losing that game.

That's all fine and good.  But, instead of an apartment, imagine it was a house.  A house that you and your roommate had lived in for over a hundred years (you guys are both really, really old).  Over the years you guys had a lot of memories in the house; pulled some hilarious pranks, laid some bitches, and even built a deck together one summer.  And then one day your roommate says he's gonna move across the street and leave you with the mortage payment because the other house is better.  Then he wants to come over and drink beer on your deck.

All things being equal, maybe you'd rather have a beer with somebody else.

yup, lets add CU to the slate of teams that were meh back when we played them but now that we don't play them are the best teams for us to play.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

How would playing Mizzou in KC help K-State with recruiting?  If anything, it helps Mizzou hold onto their presence in KC, making it more difficult for K-State.  You guys are better off playing teams like Duke and Florida.  The only reason anyone wanted to see K-State play Mizzou in KC was to piss off KU fans.  An enemy of an enemy is a friend.  In this case, K-State and Mizzou.

it wouldn't.  yes.  yes.  the only people that wanted that were retards, who knows what motivates retards.  kstate & missouri are not enemies of an enemy.  they are not friends.
