Nobody was getting hired this week anyway with our athletic director on a week long vacation where he apparently was going to turn his cellphone off.

Weiser hunted, what does jc do?

Runs off winning basketball coaches and convinces 90% of people it was the right thing to do.

It depends on who you ask. Most will say that he is on a cruise with his family though.

damnit K-State, leave the train in the station till Jerrance is ready to board!!!!

exactly. IT'S NOT LIKE THIS TRAIN IS GOING ANYWHERE INTERESTING ANY TIME SOON. WHAT'S YOUR HURRY, TRAIN.

Howard has 2 years left on his contract at Illinois for $200k, $210k - he wants most of the $$ plus pride and his future relationship with Illinois is on the line.  It seems oscar wants his staff assembled by the end of the week and the idea is to nudge Howard to resolve the situation quickly.  Howard talks to Weber a few times each day.  Howard knows what Weber & KSU has to offer, he either wants to be on board or he doesn't.  It appears that any further delay by Howard is negative for KSU and an indication that he is looking for a "better opportunity."   A bird in the hand blah blah.

Sounds like he doesn't really want to be here. And I ONLY want people that really want to be here.

Also, glad we are letting Jerrance know who's boss. Remember what happened with Dalonte and his antics? No, thanks, mister.

If Webs doesn't close the deal on Howard, my expectations for his success in Manhattan are really going to to take a hit.

Get this done, Webs!

Maybe Webs can't close the deal because John Currie has to give the final say and he's off cruisin'.

Quote
“She said, ‘Do you still have the fire inside to be at the highest level?’ ” Weber said.
He did, so Weber accepted the challenge at Kansas State, the small-market program in Manhattan, Kan., in the shadows of a big brother up the road in Lawrence coached by another former Illini guy, Bill Self.

god that was a painful read. webers wife said "where the hell is that?" in reference to manhattan and weber took the kstate job because he loves challenges. jesus christ.

also, at some point in time i am going to read every account possible of the hiring and put together some kind of timeline, because this article says that currie flew to chicago on wednesday to interview him but i swore currie said he went to a dallas hotel room and didn't meet with weber until later.
