New side of story from the inside on men's ball team. MUST READ   Reply
Take this for what it's worth. A source with extremely close ties to players told me that the players wanted Frank gone. They had numerous team discussions that they were willing to go to extreme measures, including transferring, if Frank were to stay. This explains why Frank would leave in such a cloud of dust. This also explains Frank being absent for the team meeting as well as the players being "surprisingly happy". Again, take it for what it's worth, but my source is an EXTREMELY credible source. No news on recruits, but as far as current players go, all should be well.

i don't find this surprising at all.  I remember thinking how ridiculous it was that people were talking about Gruds transfering last year, and then it comes out that it was true.  I'm confident Will was getting out.  Will and Gruds were the heart of this team...i'm not sure how you can't believe this story.

To go to a shithole based entirely on what he believes?  Alpha.

I know many people are trolling their asses off on this subject, but the people who truly banging the loyalty drum don't get this at all.

I completely get it, and think it's completely rough ridin' stupid.

Well, I think that's completely bullshit.  Better than the alternative.  Still think it's bullshit.

iirc ryan has been right on stuff before. might be currie leaking this stuff too.

I love the soap opera aspect of all this.

:flush:  he's also been annoyingly and aggressively wrong too.  BTW that doesn't account for the assistants being absent from the meeting as well.

FWIW, I had also heard that there were at least 4 players that were transferring if Frank was still the coach next year...it's about 60 pages ago

When is Frank gonna call a team meeting and let the players know what is going on?   I can't imagine he'd pull a chickenshit move and sprint out of town without showing them some common courtesy.

And to think, MIR threw a conniption fit because I suggested that Frank might have interest in Illinois.  Now he's off to South f*cking Carolina.  Unbelievable.

It was a question.  If he was being a hard headed bad person then it was about principal right?  It's either money and/or principal.  Hard headed means he is set in his ways/values, no?

Some of us who are enjoying pointing out the "loyalty" comments are just doing it to point Frank is just a dude who likes money, likes people to kiss his ass, likes to do what he wants when he wants and likes to feel like a great virtuous person when he is just a crap bag like the rest of us.

I get why he left, I think we are going to hear more about the reasons as well.

There is nothing wrong with zinging him about his obvious hypocriscy

I think it was mostly based on principal, and that was a stupid decision. Make sense?

I don't see it as hypocrisy.  If you hate lying, but tell a lie are you a hypocrite?  I believe in loyalty, when I turn in a letter of resignation this week (absolutely happening BTW), I hope my clients don't think I'm a hypocrite.  Frankly I just hate my moron bosses and want a new challenge.

Same here. I mean it makes sense. He runs off a couple players a year and cant recruit. Maybe he's a major ass hat.

Makes perfect sense, only because I know you have the good sense to know that this is how you see it without knowing all that went into the decision and not as an absolute fact.

Maybe his power and success have been increasingly corrupting and perverting him ( I guess this is obvious now). Jake wouldn't even recognize the man Frank is today.
