Checklist for next coach when Currie hires
A) White
B) Religious
C) Midwestern
D) 2 Star recruiter
E) Boring

Welcome to Manhattan Scott Sutton

Everything Currie has done to this point, the Pullen/Kelly crap, the Jamar stuff, not extending him again, etc. are all justifiable ways he can use to run Martin out of town.

I don't believe for one second that Currie would do what he's done to Frank to Pearl.

Or, as michigan has already stated, he was basically running the basketball ship when Pearl was ignoring the NCAA while he was at UT.

Also, I think michigan was the one that theorized that all of this hyper-compliance props up a case for Pearl to get reinstated before his show cause is up.

I honestly felt like Currie has always been biding his time until he could get Pearl in here somehow.  I just figured we'd have to wait until Frank made another nice run or two and got a better job.  I didn't anticipate him committing career suicide before the show cause was up.

But, now that we're on an accelerated timeline...giddy up.

If all this nicey nice with the ncaa results in goodwill towards getting pearl out of ncaa hell a year early, it's somehow a good move all told.  Pearl's ceiling is higher imo.

Their major college coaching accomplishments are nearly identical and Pearl had the luxury of coaching against UK when they sucked and the SEC was never as good as the Big 12 was at its worst.  That being said I like Pearl, but there is no evidence that he is a better coach than Frank Martin.

Tennessee was the UK of the SEC when Pearl was there bad conference or not.

Uh, he won 1 conference championship and had 1 elite 8 in six years.  He'd get run at UK for that.

Can't Currie get assigned to running KSU-Olathe or something?  How long is Animal and Bosco's business lunch at OG gonna last?

Michigancat seems to be the most on target poster in this fiasco.  If Currie can't keep Frank from this suicidal move then he is a complete incompetent at his primary function and Frank is an irrational idiot.

Not saying Frank isn't capable of being an irrational idiot, but he wins the basketball games, so I want him

Csourk raised an interesting point on FB chat shortly ago.

Is Quinn Snyder ready to make his triumphant return to College BB?
