I'm at juco nationals. Take everything with a grain of salt, but the coaching grapevine/rumor mill says that Martin is interested in entertaining potential offers and both South Carolina and Illinois have been mentioned with him.

Doesn't mean anything, but college coaches are talking. This place is the biggest rumor mill on the planet, though, and several things people say are just regurgitated and changed thoughts. Kind of like a big game of telephone with job rumors.

Makes for entertaining conversations though.

not surprising, but disappointing.  hope we can last till currie leaves.

who is that?

first bossi, then me.

Would it be possible to put "grant of rights" language into his contract extension? Something like if he goes to another school, any money he or the school makes from BBall goes to K-State first then goes to Frank Martin? If the Big 12 did it why not K-State :ksu:

Why the eff would he leave KSU for South Carolina though ?? Just because it's closer to the Florida pipeline ?? It's not football, I'd think you'd have an easier time getting those kids to KSU despite the distance than getting them  to commit to play hoops for 4 years at SEC east South Carolina..

Plus, they're :opcat: as all get out down here..

He's obviously just trying to get a raise, which I mean, give it to him..

Illinois is not a real player in this, they need someone to recruit Chicago not Miami, there's a 100% chance their next HC is  :eye:

Currie seems to be lacking a few qualities that would qualify him as a douchebag.

Norlander/Goodman/Parrish on cbs college hoops podcast today, starting around 33 and a half:
  • Nothing with cocks yet, may change in future
  • Frank will talk to AD soon, try to get on the same page
  • He should be more in demand
  • He wins
  • No better, more open, more honest guy in college hoops
  • He's real, came from nowhere, not supposed to be here, very aware of it still

Anyone know anything about a Frank presser at noon today?  If Frank was leaving I would think Currie would be holding the press conference.

Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

False Alarm?  Talked with some newsy types, they weren't invited. Doubt it happened.

FWIW, Brad Underwood was there all afternoon yesterday while all these coaches were supposedly talking.  Frank and Figs there today.

I can only imagine the great rumors Brad was spreading.
