Everyone in the world loves them.yeah, i've never met anyone who was lukewarm about penguins. The penguin habitat at the St. Louis Zoo is the best thing I've ever seen at any zoo. It is amazing. Also the StL zoo has to be the best free zoo in the country. Wish the rest of the city didn't blow so hard.Sounds like a decidedly favorable opinion of penguins to me.

Quote from: Sundance_Kid on March 12, 2012, 11:16:37 PMI think that only major cities should have zoos. Or places with a enough land that are like preserves. I hate going to shitty zoos and seeing the animals in subpar habitats. Going to the zoo should be a big deal, not just a casual thing.I like the subpar habitats. Its a zoo. If animals want to run free they shouldn't get caught. I like being able to get really close, like the tigers at the KC Zoo and hate when the animals are far away in their "natural type habitat", like the Gazelles at the KC Zoo

"Son. This is why we are wildcats. Hard work, pride, the heart of this country. And if that's not enough for you, you can just move to California with your punk friends."

Bottom line is Giraffes are terrible. They are losers. End of story
in the end, EMAW will always win.

It also does not take into account the animals born into captivity. They didn't even have a choice in the matter cause thier parents were too stupid/weak to get away. So I guess this means all zoo animals are dumb compared to animals in the wild.
hey guys- remember that fantastic movie "emmet penguins jug-band Christmas"? yeah, neither do I.
Quote from: wetwillie on March 11, 2012, 11:54:40 AMI prefer aquariums.my zoo has a fantastic aquarium
I prefer aquariums.
The Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium will re-open on April 5 with a new look. Don't worry; all of your favorites are still there. You will still be able to walk through the tunnel and penguins still call the Aquarium home, but now there will be new animals to see...more than 1,000! The Scott Aquarium is getting new carpet, air-handling system, ceilings, wall finishes, flooring, interpretive graphics and digital monitors. Special lighting, curved wave walls and wider paths will usher you through this renovated exhibit. Each area of the Aquarium will have a specific sound representative of the natural environment. Many of these areas have murals to help depict the aquatic environment.
we have an enormous shark, turtle, stingray glass tunnel you can walk through. pretty great. the only mammel to be found in the aquarium? you guessed it, raccoons. they are in the alligator exhibit . luckily all the big alligators are in the nocturnal building.
appropriately rated zoo animal: baby gorilla

A tiger in a zoo is infinity times better off than a wild tiger.
