You know, now that I think about it, the KU football job is totally on par with Wisconsin.

how did you arrive at this?

But yes, you f*cking re-tards have all convinced me that a program with less conference titles, Final Fours, championship appearances, 4-star/5-star recruits, McDonald All-Americans, wins, 30-win seasons, etc, etc. is a better program than Illinois.  JFC, goEMAW is a cesspool of idiots these days.

We have more sweet 16s, elite 8s, one less final four, more conference championships, and an equal number of title games, Benjamin.  If you are going back to the arbitrary time period instead of all time please indicate so, Tia.

When I saw this thread had become 14 pages tonight I was sure Frank was leaving for Illinois.

Instead, it was just a whole lot of fun being had.

Yes, so my thought of getting there at 10 will kind of be like 9.  Should work out well.  Either will be there same as others or will have allowed Steve to get some games/meltdowns out of his system.

Wow, what a bunch of  :shakesfist: in this thread.  Illinois is probably a slightly more attractive job on a national level than KSU, probably.  They might be even.  It isn't enough of a gap if there is any that a coach like Frank would leave a program where he has been given a lot to work with, has built up a rapport with the fanbase and Admin. (some would argue this point), and will likely be offering him another raise soon.

Frank has some pretty good stability here, and he's got the facillities and has a pretty good niche in the B12.  To lure him away a program would have to offer a load of cash, be head and shoulders above KSU as a program, or be a "home" school.

Ill is none of those.  It would basically be a lateral move.  Count my worries as none.

Also, before I read the rest of this thread is there any funny highlights, tangents that might interest me because I don't really want to read 8 pages of bickering, tia.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

K-State's total athletic department made more than $11 million dollars more than Illinois' athletic department made in FY 2011 . . . Pepperjax, "That's not relevant".

LOL

We're talking about college basketball programs, 'Pad.  Who cares what Illinois generates in football?  They have more alumni and more fan support than K-State.  It's a better job.  I seriously can't believe so many of you clowns would argue otherwise.

At this point, if it's better, it's not much better.

With the right coach, it's a top 10 job.

pfffffftttttt

Duke
UNC
Kentucky
Ohio St
Louisville
UCONN
Syracuse
Mich St
Pitt
Georgetown
Indiana

etc.

Didn't even have to list a Big XII school to get to 10

That's a completely bullsh*t list.  Duke is one coach.  UConn is one coach.  Indiana has been terrible up until this season.  Georgetown struggled after Thompson left.  Pitt?  Are you f*cking kidding me?  Ohio State was a complete crap program until Thad Matta took over.  Louisville was mediocre until Pitino came along.  Like I said, with the right coach, Illinois is a top 10 program.  They are a basketball school that has the resources and the recruiting ability to be every bit as good as a program like Ohio State or Michigan State.  It's all about getting the right coach.

beems got butthurt. chings got drunk. dax was dax. MIR inadvertently called chings cute. Then drunk chings put a stop to that crap.

beems got butthurt again. beems also predicted 3 or 4 'ships for self at ku over the next 20 years. but then a page later, he said self would only win 1 'ship in the next 20 years.

beems got butthurt again..

Somehow, Beems is counting a title that Illinois never won, towards Bill Self's NC count(he now has 2).

Kansas used to be a top 25 job, the number is over 60 now.

Saw John Riggins on the Outdoor Channel trout fishing yesterday. His guides slapped on "KU" hats like Riggins would know what the hell that meant. He was just like "yeah I think I used to live in Centralia, KS. then I went to college a KU or Kentucky or Louisville. Not sure, doesn't matter. I don't really give a damn about where I played my college FB."  I was like --

Depends on whether you want actual information or a dissertation on how many championships Bill Self would have won at Illinois had he stayed there and the incompatible math on how that reflects on the KU job.
