I’ll never understand those rotator-cuff-ups or whatever they call them.
don't talk bad about kipping pullups. you will trigger us cf'ers. we take our pullups very personally.

other cf'ers: what movement / exercise destroys you?

me: thrusters - they break me mentally and physically every time.

honestly depends on the day/workout but I feel like thrusters are pretty bad for everyone. there's not a great way to rest and it is somehow always surprising how exhausted they make me. They're a lot harder than they seem like they should be.

I'm really bad/slow at pushups because I have long skinny arms and could lose some weight. but they don't kill me because my arms just stop working before I get my heart rate up.

the other day we did a workout that included two sets of 20x 45DBOH/53KBFR lunges and those rough ridin' destroyed me
I'm terrible at pushups. I would like to do Murph this year but no matter how I break it up I will end up doing 1/2 pushup at a time by the end.

I do it a couple times a year. The runs are what get me. My cardio is Peloton cardio, which translates to zilch for running. The last mile is brutal after all those squats.

definitely don't skip.. if nothing else find someone else that only wants to do half and partner up with them. I did that one year. 1 mile run 50 pullups 100 pushups 150 air squats mile run or do it by yourself that way.

Agree, just give it a go and try to finish half or whatever your goal is. Feels great to finish. I remember the first time I did it. I just decided that I was going to do it one day and did it over my lunch hour. I really over estimated my fitness level at the time and was bent for a few days after. I do a crap ton of pushups and pull-ups every week, but the running and the 300 squats beat me up pretty good. I break it down like this. 1m run, haul ass to basement and start doing sets of 5 Pulls, 10 push, and 15 squats over and over with as little rest as possible in between for 20 sets, then haul ass outside for the last mile. Almost every time i've done it, i've had a panic attack about miscounting the sets.

20 min amrap 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 airsquats. so basically murph without the runs if you can do a round a minute

I think "officially" you are supposed to do them in order, and with a weighted vest. I'm not CrossFit broseph so maybe someone can say for sure. I've always split it up, but it would be interesting to try to do it in order. I think I would be slower, but not sure. 100 pull-ups is quite a bit and i'm sure I would burn out.

Nice. I do "nickel and dimes" all the time. 5 pulls, 10 pushes on the minute for 15 or 20 minutes. Got that from David Goggins.

man.. I would guess a minute 10 to a minute 15. Pushups are honestly always the worst part of that workout for me.

few buddies and I are going to do the soft 75 day challenge with our own spin


Eat a little better only eat out once a week
Do one 45–60-minute workout every day. A "workout" can be a simple walk, for active recovery.
Drink at least three liters of water each day.
Read for 15 minutes a day
Drink(booze) only socially
Each of us putting in a $100 and if we fail divvy it up and if we all fail the moolah goes towards new gym equipment.
