I am trying to do 180 grams of protein a day, AND stay under 1800 calories. It’s a chore, really.

Yikes! So like... Pretty much you can have eggs and protein powders mixed with water?

Yeah, I have like 60g protein worth of shakes at breakfast, then 60g of proteins via shakes again at lunch, and that leaves me with about 1000 calories left for the rest of the day/dinner.  It’s not so bad.

I like to make my own muscle milk (chocolate) + almond milk. Put it in a thermos and drink it after working out.

A little more work but it’s cheaper and so delicious. You have no idea until you try it.

This is a bit strange to me too but whatevs. As long as you keep the rough ridin' thing on and don't lay it somewhere I am good with it. I'm pretty sure most people don't know there is a locker room at my gym. Some bad person had his sweatshirt, coat, and 3 different supplement bottles laid out on a bench the other day. This and people lugging around giant back packs in the gym irritate me for some reason.

A good gym will tell that guy to clean his crap up the same way a good gym will tell the jerkoff on the cellphone to go to the lobby

I've been enjoying shakes a lot more lately.  I use PB2, Whey protein, smoothie mix, and/or greek yogurt to get a lot of protein.  I've really liked the new smoothie king in Manhattan.  It's a little pricey but if the shake is a meal replacement, it seems more reasonable.

Power crunch bars taste like (a slightly drier) Little Debbie Nutty Bars which I really liked growing up and are about 20g protein/200 cal.

I have done a lot of shopping around in whey protein and other protein powders and shakes.  There is nothing I have found that beats the Protein to Calorie ratio of Premier Protein.  They sell it everywhere, but you can get it a Trader Joe’s (which to me affirms its legit) and Costco in bulk.  It’s expensive tho, so I buy it in bulk from Costco. I just picked up some ON Gold Standard whey in chocolate and some PB Fit peanut butter chowder for shakes when I have more time to eff with it, but they have less Protein per calorie than the Premier premade Shakes.

I totally am, but at our age I don’t sweat it.  It completely freaked me out at first, but I accept it now.

My beard is gray, and my hair is on the way out.  I am totally OK with it.

Pete it might be a tad more expensive but the beef protein powders from Julian bakery will give you more protein per calorie. I've used them and most of them taste v good too, except I've heard the cinnamon roll flavor is nasty af. Chocolate, vanilla and glazed donut canco are all ????????

canco that LSOC has a luscious salad.

and props to you mocat.  you're right, it is hilariously effective, but it's certainly not easy. it's simple, but not easy.  you should be proud of your discipline.

keto for me starts today. decided i would fast for at least 24 hours to kickstart it.  can't decide how long i want to go.
