Find a keto calculator, input your target lean body mass, eat that.

question on keto diet, looking to gain muscle but stay lean.

say 2200 on a normal diet is the amount of calories i need to gain a certain amount of muscle. does that mean with keto, something like 2600 would be needed for the same muscle?

and if so, would body fat be higher on a 2200 normal diet or the 2600 keto diet?

I have done a lot of shopping around in whey protein and other protein powders and shakes.  There is nothing I have found that beats the Protein to Calorie ratio of Premier Protein.  They sell it everywhere, but you can get it a Trader Joe’s (which to me affirms its legit) and Costco in bulk.  It’s expensive tho, so I buy it in bulk from Costco. I just picked up some ON Gold Standard whey in chocolate and some PB Fit peanut butter chowder for shakes when I have more time to eff with it, but they have less Protein per calorie than the Premier premade Shakes.

Pete it might be a tad more expensive but the beef protein powders from Julian bakery will give you more protein per calorie. I've used them and most of them taste v good too, except I've heard the cinnamon roll flavor is nasty af. Chocolate, vanilla and glazed donut canco are all

This looks pretty good, thanks for the suggestion!

I love the idea of powdered beef. How'd you get those rippling muscles? powdered beef. plus it supports the kansas cow farmer.

I also bet it uses all of the grossest parts of the beef that would end up in dogfood or something. so it helps us use the entire animal. like the native americans and the bison.

I get any supplements/vitamins via amazon from bulksupplements.  They have a protein chowder that has a higher ratio of proteins to calories, but it isn't flavored.

Also, probably does not use dogfood quality beef parts.  Apparently that may be a negative for some people.

I certainly wasn't talking negatively towards my new favorite thing, powdered beef.

I just use the regular whey protein chowder and whatever is in the Premier protein shakes (like casin protein and crap I think).  No beef protein chowder for me.

Good news, dweebs: The powdered beef protein chowder dissolves nicely in a 20 oz. bottle of haterade.

Inspiring stuff, Blast.

I've dropped 5 since last week, most of which is the waterweight loss, but gonna keep plucking along.

let's talk about water weight. man, what a trickster it can be! i was down to 253 last saturday morning but then had a "free" weekend. didn't overdo it but i had desserts, chips, that kind of thing. weighed myself again tuesday morning and i was at 259. wow! slowly working my way back down (254 this morning) but i guess that's why they say you shouldn't weigh yourself every day.

I have to weigh myself everyday when i'm dieting.  it's a compulsion.

Down 13 pounds since April 2.

I have been trying to get back in the routine since I put on a few winter lbs. After I get off work and eat and everything I haven’t had the drive to go work out in the evenings. So I have been taking longer lunches and working out then and just working until 6.

I absolutely love the change and it’s nice having the work flexibility that I have. I can get my workouts in and take a break from work halfway through the day. Does anybody else do this?

Yes TBT, I love the lunchtime run/workout.  Have been doing it for a few years now.  Only problem is some people love to schedule lunch meetings.   :shakesfist:

mocat - How hard is it to get dressed?  Are you missing an arm?

My office would need a shower facility if I were going to run or do anything strenuous at all over lunch.
